Christina Applegate has been churning out hit movies and TV shows since she was a teenager.
The now 52-year-old got her start in the 1980s sitcom Married with Children at age 15 and has been making a name for herself in Hollywood ever since.
In her 50s, the award-winning star appeared in the hit series Dead to Me, which saw her snag her third nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for the 75th annual Emmy Awards.
The ceremony, which was postponed due to the Hollywood strike, will take place on January 16 (Australia time) – but it’s unlikely Applegate will be there to accept the award should she win.
In February 2023, Applegate attended the SAG Awards, and revealed that would likely be her last awards show appearance due to her Multiple Sclerosis battle.
and was recently honoured with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star to recognise her contribution to film and television.

Christina Applegate’s most recent public appearance was in June 2023, when she attended Variety‘s TV FYC Fest in Los Angeles.
Applegate, who is pictured here with Jean Smart, opened up about her health battle to the publication that same month, revealing in the interview that she was reaching the end of her acting career.
“We don’t know what my future as an actress is going to be,” she said at the time.
“How can I handle it? How can I go onto a set and call the shots of what I need as far as my boundaries, physically? I don’t know who is going to be as loving and understanding as this group of people were [Dead to Me cast and crew].”
Four months earlier, she made what she posited would be her final awards show appearance at the SAG Awards.
